English 2 Blog Entry
Hi COS people and Xanga regulars~
My name is Lisa Gatz and I have been blogging for quite some time now. I had a site before this one for about 5 years and this "Gourdgeous" site for about 1 year. I try to make art and really enjoy working with ceramics and hard-shelled gourds. I have 3 grown daughters, 2 grandsons, and a partridge in a pear tree.
Oh I mean and a husband. And a dog. And a headache.
I will be using my blog for a time for class assignments in my English 2 class. I'll try to keep updated on my regular blog entries as well.
J.Jordan asked these questions:
Major?
3D Art is my major. I want to teach as well as work on art personally.
Two goals for this semester--one academic goal and one life goal.
My first goal is to be 12 units closer to my transfer with a 4.0!
The second goal is to create 3 gourd bowls in my new series and be ready for the Southwest Gourd Art Festival.
What have you recently learned how to do?
I'm learning to play slide guitar...it's much trickier than I expected!

I like it when I see Gourdgeous moved up in my SIR list ~ I have missed you! Now, isn't this a fun project? Of course you are making good grades ~ you are doin' what you love. Can't wait to see your new stuffs! What capacity are you teaching or going to teach? I was just wondering if this was a new vocation or what. All the best to you as always! (((HUGS!)))
Oh yea, I meant to say something about the slide guitar. Come on out and jam with Lyss!
I thing dobro would be challenging but fun too.
A few questions: a vocation change? how many COS people? interesting to use blogging space this way. You are going to be busy this "term"...take care and have fun making the 4.0 -g
3D Art? That sounds awesome =)
Lisa--
Nothing like having an artist in the group to create an intriguing site. So....some time later, I'm back after having got WAYYY off the beaten track of checking on student work to find out all about the gourd work. Who knew you could do such beautiful things with the lowly vine? Truly amazing. I'm adding you to my "when I have time..." list.
You always have liked to teach Lisa and also of course the gourd art and ceramic . So you get an achievment .
Best wishes for you my friend.
Love
Michel
