    A quick new bloggie...

I had an order for one of my frog bowls so here's the new one.  I like it a little better.  His name is Fred.  I call it, "Fred Ponders the Heavens"

The pictures didn't come out too great but I'm too tired to retake them today.

I'm a little on the manic side both today and yesterday but I'm learning that it's part of my creative process.  Just go with it.  It will eventually tone down and then I can get some rest.  For now, I'm filling up my sketchbook.

"Wish I didn't know now what I didn't know then"

I heard Against the Wind by Bob Seger today on the radio and I know that I've heard this phrase a million times but today it struck me.  So many times I say that I wish I knew then what I know now and for the most part, that's so true.

The things that made me reckless I don't wish back.  Sometimes I would like that endless energy that let me feel like I could do anything.  Cautious is good in moderate amounts only.

  • Yeah, this frog looks more relaxed, hip, slick and cool than the previous. He's stylin'!

  • Please please please email me, i'd love to know your prices on the froggy bowls! I collect frogs...

  • I hear ya about the cautious thing, then again, EVERYthing in moderation is key as far as I can tell... especially bowls of rocky road or Moose Tracks ice cream with sauces and whipped cream on top!

The froggies are great, both you've shown, but I am still partial to the first one.  I like the more purple-y colors under froggie's belly and I can see the first bowl has a dragonfly.  That makes me smile. <----see

I was watching for your email after you comment on my site.  I have not received it so I'll look again later, after my appointment.  Also, I added my own thoughts on the bumper sticker, and some Shawn had as we discussed this religious freedom thing.

He has been to both Yosemite and Sequoia, but I've not been to either.  He thinks we should come out some time, but due to our plans to build a house next year, it may not be financially wise for us to plan this until we get into the new house and have a new budget set.  Secretly though, I'll be making my plans, just the same.   It just could be more than a year before I can make it work.

OK, you have a super day and tell your fam 'hugs' from me.

    Prayers,

    Deb

  • Ooo, Fred is commissioned!  He's so great... I like the name too.  I think I'd rather be a lil manic that depressed.  It's more fun (but tiring, yes, lol!)  I have done the same thing with that phrase... never really thought about it.  That's a pretty big ball of wax.

  • Dear Lisa,

Seger is right. I also like Bob Dylan's "I was so much older then, I'm younger than that now".

A truly "gourdeous" froggie. I was just telling my girlfriend the other day that I should buy some modeling clay and see what develops. I don't know how to "fire" clay to get a sheen however. I seem to remember we had a "kiln" back in school. Can you put clay in the microwave? (That's a joke.)
